Ode To Lori & Steve
Here’s a story of a lady, Lori, who had everything going and more!
An awesome family, serving the Lord.
And then one day a call came that changed everything!
Dreams were shattered; the family was scattered
A heart was broken, words couldn’t be spoken.
Content, she found herself, surrounded by friends;
Strength she had, but emptiness wins. She called out to God, “how can this be?”
To which He replied, “You just wait, and see!”
So, Steadfast she went; just she and the boys,
knowing God’s strength and seeing her joys.
Looking towards heaven, one day she said, “Will it be just us 3?”
Again, God said, “you just wait and see!”
She waited for direction and began an investigation–
opportunities- here & there—
So, she spread her wings and traveled to the beach
finding sand between her toes & waves within reach.
Seaglass to be found and shells to be gathered,
But she knew, there was more that really mattered.
She found herself consulting and sharing her life,
wondering her worth to be someone’s wife.
Her fingers started tapping, and soon she was chatting…
And then, The day arrived, different from then on—
To the Hill City she went and met a silver haired gent;
That first meeting was Heaven Sent!
Charming, Steve was, with stories to tell;
And God assured her “that all would be well!”
A relationship developed with dreams to come true,
And here they both stand, ready to say, “I do!”
“Believe me,” God said, “I give a new view!”
And then time to celebrate!
