What to Expect at Your Newborn Session

Newborn sessions are calm, unhurried, and all about your baby’s comfort. Sessions typically last 2-3 hours, and we’ll take breaks for feeding, soothing, and diaper changes as needed. I provide all the wraps, props, and accessories, so you don’t need to worry about bringing anything except your baby (and maybe a pacifier if they use one).

Parent and sibling photos are always welcome. Some of my favorite images are the quiet moments between mom and baby, or the look of wonder on a big brother’s face, meeting his new sibling.

When to Book Your Session

The ideal window for posed newborn photos is within the first 14 days. During this time, babies are sleepier and naturally curl into those cozy, womb-like poses. I recommend reaching out during your third trimester so we can get your due date on my calendar. Once the baby arrives, we’ll schedule the exact session date.

Already past the two-week mark? Don’t worry; I’d still love to capture your little one. Older newborns may be more alert, which means more eye contact and awake shots. They still love being swaddled, and I can get beautiful shots.
